"Uh, right, yeah." Black Dog, said, surprised by Lance's odd response to her statement. She decided to ignore it and try to change the subject, although now she felt a bit more uneasy about Lance, reminding her of her general wariness of strangers. "So, do you, uh, like cats?" Black Dog asked, a wide smile spreading across her face as was common when she was embarassed, smooth Schipperke, real casual that was she thought to herself. You deffinately couldn't have made that any more subtle, i'm sure. Black Dog looked at Lance, "I do," she said, "they're great fun to chase. No, they're pretty cool though."

Lance wasn't sure what to think of this, So she just decided to go ahead and say it: "That was awkward. But alright, if you want to talk about cats now... They're alright. Dogs are better. I've got this stray that always hangs around but I take care of him." Lance wasn't sure why Black Dog had decided to suddenly change the subject. It was strange, but then again she couldn't tell if it was just her. Lance had a tendency to say things that made people feel awkward.
